Average rock. The manual tremor applied to the guitar in channels 7 and 8(perhaps others) bugged me.

An interesting buildup at the beginning, but it seems kind of empty. Has an OK sound, but pretty uninteresting. Using a drum loop is alright, but you need to vary it a little more, do some manipulation to the loop, don't just let it loop over and over. Not a bad sounding song, but it really don't do much.

There is no reason to use 16 bits samples for a drum #6,7,8. Only Superman could hear the difference one converted into 8 bits, ok and maybe Goldorak. But I'll forgive you since the size of the song is well under 720k. The length of the introduction is just perfect. Since it is a relatively simplist song it deserves to have a short and non-complex begining. I'm particularly fond of the idea of putting a distored sample as background music in a world of clean samples. Your drum sequence nees variations. The drum is as important as the lead as it is playing major role in controling the rythmn and pace of the song. The chords have some good progressions. The song breaths well. It has structure and is well balanced. The end comes too fast. Give the listener time to realize that this is the end and bring it to an end in an original manner. The end should also pass the last idea of the song, it should leave something to the audience to remember.

Ahhhhhhhhhh! (sigh, not scream) It literally gave me chills. I've never heard anything like it. Varied enough to keep me interested thoughout, but not too "busy". The drums are great, the melodies are divine, voicing is perfect. Ending is handled well. I can't find anything wrong ^_^. Technique is very good. I like the 64 00 64 00 64 00 effects in voices and the feedbackish sample. The samples are all in tune (where it applies), and of great quality. I have to resist the temptation to rip them :). Overall: Near perfection, if not already perfect. I give it a 93. (Friar Matthew? I like the sound of that)

This tune sounds like one riff repeated over and over and over and over and over again. So my next comment is obviously it needs more variation. It was good to put the break half way in where the drums fade out. That section could have been longer tho, and perhaps more experimentation with the backing. If a tune is going to repeat over and over, make it a little shorter too. The instruments were tuned, and relatively clean, so no complaints there. The panning needed a little more work as too did the layering (volumes). The volume is too constant throughout, and so all the instruments play on the same level. At least the ending didn't fade, but was a bit sudden. The melody, well, didn't seem to do much. It was just there as seemingly random notes. It needs to be more in control to give the tune direction.

It's funny that there's some 52 patterns in the song and about 45 of them all sound the same. The percussion is looped and copied from pattern to pattern. The weird "phased" sample is played over and over, and some bass then gets added. I know the guitar is changing a little bit, but since it's so suppressed by the other instruments, I can barely discern the difference. The quiet break in the middle of the song was nice, but it really does clash with the grainy harshness of the synth/guitar sample. It just seems that you get into the song and then just kind of give up trying to get it done, resorting to copying to fill out songtime. The samples aren't particularly memorable either although they are of pretty decent quality. I don't know what would improve it or weaken it.
