This is a very simple song, nothing really stands out with this one. The song doesn't really deviate from its main theme. Oh, sure, there are parts where you don't have drums playing or the bassline is not present, but the drums and bassline could be copied and pasted, and would sound in place anywhere in the song. More variety is needed. Instrument 2 doesn't always sound in tune, especially when you have the chords going. Instrument E is a nice touch.

A standard sample set is used that is of fair to good quality. Instrument 2 needs some channel panning on it to prevent the rather one dimensional overall sound to this track, and some of the background effects could benefit from lower volumes, for example sample 14. The cut up beat loop has basically been reconstructed again in its original form. There are places where it has been added to and is quite complex but more variation in the off beats would help to alleviate the slight monotony. There is no real melody to this track as such, all arpeggios and effects which unfortunately makes it almost instantly forgettable. Not that a song has to have a distinct melody, but it needs some substance for a listener to remember. In all a rather uninspiring track which flows along well but feels cluttered and needs a more subtle balance. Tracked with a reasonable amount of knowledge but needs work on production.

Well, here we have another Techno tune. The intro was a bit long, but I like the flow of the song, however it is nothing entirely origonal. An example: you fade in the chords, put the melody in, jam for a little while, fade, the melody back out, then the chords, and then you change the chords around and the process starts over. And the song repeats more than it needed to. You followed a formula similar to this one. You also stayed with one drum loop. The end of the song would have been a nice bridge to a groove beat thingy. I do like the effects, especially instrement #10. The acid is very groovin' too. All in all it is a your run of the mill techno tune, though one done very nicely. You took time to think things out, but I think you should have focused more on creativity than staying with the techno formula. Techno is easy to do; GOOD techno, however, if very challenging.

*File Specs* [Filename]m6i-atms.xxx [Title]Artemisia Absinthium [Total playing time]03:53 *Musical Values* [Creativity]This piece of art shows some intresting energy glow speeding output assay, the song is tension accelerating and adrenaline raising, it's a pity that the environmental sounding is 98% monaural.[Story]If you record this on tape and play this music in your car cassette player i am sure you will be able to create your own story in your mind while pushing the pedal to the metal... [Structure]The structure is descent, the rythem is cool the breaks are impactive the Sfx are suiting their effective position. [Harmony]Musical:yes sounding:monaural. [Realness/Fantasy factors]Fantasy tainting... *Technical Values* [Instruments]Only a few parts of the instrumental gear has been used for two samples.[Samples]Loops are good, i noticed some sequenced parts in the percussional aspects, I do not specificly mind used sequences but percussion should not be too hard to track yourself completely. [Arrangements]The arrangement is great, use of instruments are good but the setting of your stereo environment is far below average, only the "clap" instrument has been stereo mixed and for the rest i had to do with mono output.[Use of...]N/A [Sample Quality]Fair to good. *Sounding Techniques* [Depth]No depth found to the back, on surfacial aspects i found some timbre. [Width]Width was minimized to a straight set of instruments in the song width with only variable adds in sfx aspects.[Headphones]You can hear the song in it's whole but you can not distinguish the surround concept of this song listening to it on headphones. [Speakers]On speakers it is going BOOM... it actually sounds quite with a good impact but that's it, it does not strikes you from behind, neither left, right above or below you, only from where you can see it coming from.

-sets mood right away + -good build to entrance of the beat -cool beat -I like the stutter effect used in the pads -cool sample set (no loops!!) -nice use of delay -gets repetative near the end -pitch bends in lead in order 1A are out of tune -not a unique genre but enjoyable just the same... cool tune!! ... will play this one again on my own time :]

Pretty decent song, nice sense of energy, but it didn't really go anywhere, it didn't ever climax. A nice coherent bunch of samples, worked well together in the style. The style: fairly original, not quite in the standard Scene industrial that I've seen a bunch of this year... Decent technical, not much in the way of panning. For the most part simple but effective effects. "Transitions" were fine, but form was a little down because the whole song sounded pretty much uniform. Not as bad as a lot of what was out there, tho.

Good work on this break-beat/harcore thing. This is over intermediate everage. Needs to be more melodious.
