Judge: Hansen ,Torben Very VERY good orchestral tune with very good atmosphere. I was hooked to this right away. Kinda reminds me of a Jean-Michel Jarre tune with those chords. The lead could've been better, but still it's not _that_ bad. I particularly like the way the tune changes between silent and quite bombastic parts - makes the tune alive. Making (good) orchestral music is quite hard, and I think it deserves high respect, when it is done well. This tune scores high on originality, form and technique. However I miss some better samples in the set. The samples and the lead are indeed the only things I can complain about in this tune. Very well done! |
Judge: Dahlin ,Nicolas Good orchestral piece. The title fits well. The instruments are well put together. Good idea with the march drums. The ending really makes me feel that freedom is near. I don't really know what to write - I can't really find any flaws, well maybe that the drums in the first block is a little too machine-gunnish (new word :)), but, apart from that, I like these drumrolls throughout the piece. |
Judge: Lesuisse ,Anthony I like the "military?" rythm. The lead instrument is too much synthetic. Pizicato ins't smooth enough. Strings chords progressions are good. |
Judge: Isaacson ,Michael A wonderful rendition of the epic music usally adhered to the great RPGs. "Flight to Freedom" doesn't really fly anywhere, but it keeps the intrest level high and doesn't dissapoint much. The use of effects is somewhat conservitive, but the ones that are used are played well. The vast majority of notes ring clear and work together quiet well. One thing that could use a little work is it would be nice to have some more varitaion in the song, too many patterns sound like only very slight modifcations of others. With a few more hours of work a bit more creative juice, this could be a great song. |
Judge: Girard ,Marc Good orchestration at the start of the song, the pizzicato is old as my grand-mother and the style has been over-used. There's some talent there, I must admit, some kinda "Skaven" clone. It's a fair song. |
