i am a big fan of the ol' breaks. the ol hip-hop flava shows though on what would be a mediocre dj mix, but is a fairly good track. as far as form goes, nothing special. atonal d'n'b. not much work to do. the song progresses nicely, at 2:30 there's a nice little lead. technique is good. the song is solid and well tracked, emulating the junglistical vibe quite well for a track. samples, unfortunatly, are ripped and not well crafted in the song, which causes a loop based mess. you lose major points for just putting up loops. "mad props" to the producers you ripped from, though. the main break was a little weak. otherwise, it's a nice change to see some good mellow d'n'b in the scene.

*File Specs* [Additional vote] Act of consideration [Filename]m6i-htmk.it [Title]Humidifier Toolkit [General comment]Time to relax....This song sounds realy relaxing on speakers... too bad that the songwidth on headphones is a bit too much around you especially the baseline does not ease you at all when hearing this on headphones. All with all this is one of the less songs i like the way percussional sequences are being used.Every sound aspect including the Sfx "squeeze" which pops on the rythem belongs there. This song is not this song without any of those aspects. If you need ease-therapy, be sure to have this one in your musical medicine-locker.

I would have no problem giving this song high marks in originality; nothing about this song seems normal, which is both good and bad. On the good side, it makes the song more enjoyable to listen to, because it's a little bit different, and catches your ear. On the bad side, it makes the song less enjoyable, because it feels like it's trying to shove a square hole in a round peg. Take, for instance, the beginning: It has a near retrigged percussion mixed with some ethereal samples. One fast, one slow, mixing things that, in my opinion, don't belong together very often....The beginning went on too long, and didn't do enough. It would not have suffered by going from order 0 to order 2, to order 8, to order 14, and heading straight into the mid section....I'd have to punish this song severely in the sample department, because a large portion of the song is made merely because of the samples that are being used, rather than because of any tracking ability....That spills over into technique, since the tracker displayed more of a mixing ability than a tracking ability. Also, the tracker wasn't in use much, outside of the commands in the instruments.

Pretty cool, especially the first half of the track. Like the use of intruments you got there :) Nice breakbeats too, but I really liked the basssine you used, and the almost 808state like sound in there :) It's only after pos34 that the track gets a little bit weird, some of it cool, some of it well, not as cool, and the end is a bit of a cliffhanger. Still a nice track though :)

This is a nice little ambient trance tune; I like it =). YOu are one of the first people to extensively use volslides (an effect most seem to have forgotten about somehow) so I really like this one. Reminds me of Orb.

It's got a rich, spacious sound, and a deep bass undertow. But high-speed drum loop seems awfully out of place. It pushes the tempo too fast for the relaxed pace of the melody. That and the electric pianos are slightly out of tune compared to the bass and sweeping strings in the background. Juxtaposing those together creates an uneasy feeling because you want to hear go faster, but at the same time the melody doesn't keep pace. As an experiment, I reduced the playback speed of your drum loops by exactly half and the song took on a completely different feeling---it was smooth, groovy, and simple. Try it! All instruments in the song are important to its overall feel, and the mix of them just doesn't seem to make them blend in with each other. I also noticed that you doubled-up on the bass channels: try to avoid doing that. You usually can increase the master mixing volume and decrease the rest of the instrument volumes to compensate.

Everything in this song just annoys me, the beat is one sample and annoying. The bass really penetrates my ears and hurts. There's this annoying dog(?) sound throughout the song, and it's way too repetitive. The xylophone sounding instrument sort of sounds good, but doesn't do the impossible.
