Ahhh! YES! i love it! resampled old vocals from old dance mods! you definately listen to some good trance/house for these samples... excellent choices... your breakbeat doesn't seem to go quite right, and that cool lead melody pad in the background should be brought out, it's nice... a few of your flanges don't work, just muffle it unfortunately the vocals dont' quite fit into the beat right... i find the shifting of breaks from left/right somewhat annoying... remember to time breaks -precisely- by changing the playback rate... overall you've got a fairly nice house/trance tune here... there are a few panning issues and some of your faked flanges as i said before need to be reworked... having two of the exact same sample played at the exact same time in the same panning position at the same speed is just doubling the volume, but it also ends up sounding very muffled, so if you delay by one or offset by one or for flanging i have one doing a FEFEFEFE and the other doing an EFEFEFEF by one, and it works out perfectly... especially when you have them separated left/right...

The intro is not so good - pianosynth chords are boring and overused. It gets somewhat better at order #11 or so, when the "drum n' bass" feel hits in. The rap vocals doesn't quite fit in and they are badly timed in places. But the tune manages to stick OK to the genre the composer has chosen.

I'm a bit disappointed by your song. it started out like a common techno tune but soon i realised it was nothing more but a drums song. There are a few piano chords but nothing very fabulous. The samples and the stereo quality is good, but remove the drums, and there is nothing left. Moreover the voices arrive at an awkward moment and are not very well synchronised with the rythm. There is too much sample loop for me. Techno tune is so common you have to bring your touch (a melody that will stay in mind). I think that's what you have to work.

This appears to be a very high-energy piece of dance music (which is probably why it's called "Just Dance", eh? Funny how these things happen. ;-)). I'd best start with the samples. I can't fault the samples at all. They're actually pretty nice. Some ugly clipping going on in some of the drumloops and maybe a little tuning should have been done in some of the other samples. One sample (the synth lead used in some of the patterns) was far too weak and quiet for its task, and one of the drumloops had a pingpong loop instead of a forward one, which turned the rhythm on a few of the patterns into a hissing mishmash of percussive sounds. There are a couple other problems with this song. One is the ho-hum chord progression. Sounds great for the first couple of patterns but after that piano has beat it out a couple times it gets old. The song does a good job of working around it, though. Another: VOLUMES. I saw a few volume effects in the source but not quite enough for the job. The percussion was just too loud, and playing different (loud) drumloops in each speaker didn't do much besides confuse the issue. And the last: leads and melody. There's nothing wrong with writing a song based around percussion, but if you're going to put in a lead, it's probably a good idea to work it out a little more carefully. I could barely hear the lead the composer had in there, and it was weak and a tad out of tune with the other instruments. How about the good parts of this song? There certainly were some. The percussion, for one. It's very well worked-out dance percussion and if it weren't for that one pingpong drumloop and a couple of irritating volume, panning, and complexity issues, it would have shone even more than it did. The break at order 45 was also appreciated.

Werd! A really good track to dance to! :) ok, so it has some relly cheesy bits which remind me of the sound popular back in the early 90's on the dance scene (the piano bits mainly) it still manages to pack a punch all the way through. My only complaints are those vocal bits which don't fit too well in there, at least not the first time they are used, and the end should be pitched lower imo. Nice work here though :)

This really makes me want to dance -8D= I love the noisy beat, although when it's not on the song is too quiet - you should turn everything else up when there's only the single-sample drums (be careful - it shouldn't be too loud, though) I like the beat switching from side to side without getting too much to either side. I think it ends very(!) suddenly - I was expecting it to go nuts - and then it just stopped :( The voice samples doesn't fit in, and the club-like piano in the beginning and esp. in block 29-36 should have been much louder.

Good sound overall, but some problems held this song back from being more enjoyable. The ping-pong looped extended drum sample, in particular, gets markedly off-beat and becomes distracting. However, you are able to maintain a nice sense of pacing, although repeating the opening piano riff a little too often.
