A very relaxing tune with a nice melody. The birdsong effect fit very well and also the other little effects were nice, except that the one made with instrument 8 didn't work in a couple of places. There were minor hissing in some samples and the overall sample quality could have been better. That would have made the song much better, because it was so slow and simple that the active samples were in a big role. Technically quite simple, but the artistic side was nice and the song was flowing on quite well. It's very risky to make this kind of slow and quiet tune as a competition song because one can't show his/her technical/rhythmic merits with it and so the samples, melodies and mood are only left to judge.

Nice mellow opening slow arpeggio and Introduction melody. The main theme is well written, samples where well chosen. The change around pattern 20 is good, with good use of tempo speed ups. It creates a different feel to the tune, but I also think that a variationin samples would have made it beeter. And the shift back to the original theme for the finish was good. On the whole a good tune, but could have done with a little more variation, maybe more use of dynamics for such a mellow slow piece. Or a key change.

Something said CLICK! in my head as I listened to this song. I just love it! Can't really explain why. One note on the samples category - one sample is 16 bit and bigger than 256k, it won't play right on GUS cards. Only 16 channels too, good for your technique rating. I love your phrasing. The way your instruments talk to each other, they almost seem to interact. The soundscape you paint is impressing. This song is one of a kind - created with vision. Makes me envy your talents. And the next year you'll enter veteran section, right? Also good transition to 3/4. Mixing is almost perfect and the use of panning great (altough you don't use it much). You are either very skilled or very talented - maybe both. My hat goes off for you.

Introduction is kind of boring, but that's not really all that bad, since it's a slow-building melodic tune. Has a nice atmospheric sound, I really like that synth you use in the background. Some really nice details (the flute-like echo thing that comes in in channels 5 and 6 is nice), and a pretty good use of dynamics, but overall it just doesn't really go anywhere. I do like the carnival-sounding thing that starts at order 10, I really wish you did something more with it rather than just putting a melody over the top of it, it had a lot of potential to build into something really cool.
