A good effort here, however the chords are too low. Try playing them up an octave, they muddy the rest of the tune otherwise. Need to use volumes more. The strings and choir samples used for the chords are too loud, they dominate and drown out the rest of the song. In some places the bass sounds like it's clashing with the melody. At least this tune didn't go crazy with panning envelopes, which is a good choice for rookie, at least until you know how to use them well. Piano, violin sample are out of tune. They are too sharp. The others are out slightly as well but those are the most noticeable. Vibrato may have helped make the instruments not sound so 'flat'. And a panning may have improved the tune as well. The chords don't have to play all the way throught the tune as well, try experimenting with playing only some instruments, and not all of them all the time.

I like orchestral pieces very much. Your song is nice, but needs some stronger arrangement. The whole sound is kindda choppy, the strings fade out too early. Use more strings, silent, sustained string chords. You gave title Light Sleep, so should had created a light sleepy atmosphere. More variation. That clarinet is pretty out of tune in the pattern 8. Don't use it on so low notes, it becomes strange. On the technical side, the sound is mono, I see You put some panning p90 but I'm afraid it is not enough.

Characteristic song, denoted by lacking of percussions. The idea shows a creative artist, but 11 samples and the little care in finetuning of the samples (expecially the 10th), evidentiate a song done in 'hurry'.

Although this song was well put together I felt that the style wasn't very appealing and set this song back noticibly. It sounded a little too childish for my liking, otherwise, sounded great.

I fear that some judges may react badly to this song but I thought it was quite good; I'm a sucker for songs with such a strong melody. Some of the bits sounded very mechanical; perhaps some effects or different samples would have helped in this regard. Also, a little more dynamic variation and a section with a contrasting progression would have made the song more interesting; despite this I LIKED this song; the simple but effective progressions and melodies really grabbed me. Neat!

Better samples will make this music more pretty (Quality, quality and quality). But idea is very very good.
