Mermaid is aptly titled, it give the impression of being near the ocean. The overall mood of the song did not change drastically, rather it flowed smoothly. The sample quality is very nice, seeing as how most of the notes are in the upper octaves, and require a high sampling rate to prevent distortion. The ambient sounds of birds and water were not overdone, and were kept as subtle as possible. In the first few patterns however, instrument 11 was cut off a bit too abruptly. The ending is a short, sweet cut off, which in my opinion would have been better as a fade out. Overall, this song was done very nicely, but could have used a little bit of work on note cutoff.

Decent samples, but this song's simple, weak structure just bored me to sleep. Nice reverb on the percussion, but like I said it's too simple. The artist needs to work on their creativity a bit.

What do birds have to do with a mermaid? The individual melodies are nice but when more than one melodic instrument is playing at a time they don't harmonize well, luckily it doesn't happen too often. Nice intro, ok ending. As a solo piano piece or perhaps piano with much better string accompaniment it would be a better song.

There is no need to use any 16 bits to reproduce a drum (#10) or a chip sound! But since your song' size is well under 720k I'll forgive you, only this time tough! The intro is just as it should be. The transitions taken to bring us to the other parts are too narrow, and don't open up to the next part. They should evolve with the song. Otherwise it's the same as writing in an essay the famous: "First", "Second", and "Third of all". They aren't creative and are very cold to hear, just as your bridges. The song is well balanced and breathes well. The drum is stuck on only one riff. I'll let that aside since you are still an intermediate. If you want your songs to be really interesting, every little details should be perfect. Overall it's a good song.

Nice samples, nice melody, a calm, peaceful tune. Definitely a good one. The birds and the waves in the background adds to the feeling, the lead and the chords are matching and project just the right feeling. The only thing I have to mark is that the tune is too short.
