hehehe first thing poped into my mind was Mellow-D! The wacked out original 3535353... tempo rocks! that and the volume ramping. The panning is pretty good, only the kick drum that was panned all the way to the right sounded abnormal since it was the ONLY sample panned to the RIGHT, it sticks out too much. this could have been fixed easily by either lowering the volume by half lessening the extremity of the panning. There's nothing i can really say other than it lacked a solid main melody and was simply too short. Get those 2 major things down pat and you've got a top contender.

I can't help myself, but this song is just another of these 4-chords-some- drums-some-melody songs which are mass-entered in every MC so far. Surely, it contains some cool ideas and is quite unique regarding it's sample usage and overall sound, but it just lacks this certain amount of originality which would make it a really individual tune. A good effort, though.

*File Specs* [Additional vote] ... [Filename]m6i-rsvt.it [Title]Rovasti [General comment]A good impactive song, dynamic start, good width, nice depth, descent samples, fair arrangement of instruments and patterns, good songconcept, serious story, intresting songculture but take my advise:pop-chop-tremolo tricks are a bit of milked out nowadays (bashing down volumes and reinitializing them back to maximum in a certain tempo 64..10..64...10 etc.), using random values might be more intresting and devide max and min values across multiple tracks in chording sections at least you have vertical AND horizontal variation in chop-tremolo tricking.

This song used an interesting mix of styles, but nothing else about it really grabbed me. The chord changes remained fresh throughout. They gave the song a tense yet subdued feel. The composer made very effective use of panning to open up the sound and make the strings sound bigger. While the rhythm track was fairly complex, the lifeless percussion samples pulled down the effectiveness of the rather well-programmed drums. The ending was my favorite part (no, not because I was waiting for it to end - I wasn't :). So tasteful and subtle, it was a nice contrast to the big legato strings throughout the rest of the piece.

Here's another extra vote. sorry if this comment sux. Nice use of drums. This song has a lot of neat stuff. If on some of the long monotone notes if you could put a volslide it'd be REALLY cool. ALso, try some panning work. overall has a real nice sound to it.
