Nice slow opening, very professional-form but that opening sample which is also used throughout the piece has the widest, most annoying (sorry, but its the only word I can use) vibrato ever.. a slow/wide vibrato effect in the beginning is cool, but overlapped with similar harmonies just wont work... As the tune develops, the bass riff should have a little more activity and the drum samples are really cool, but dont abuse them.. panning is well done and thought out.. instrumentation is OK except for that deafening vibrating synth :).. some other notes: @ around 3:50 into the tune, I like the little transitions but try to interlock them a little more.. for example, don't necessarily carry the strong sample over into the next progression/riff... The only other big complaint I have about the piece is that right when Im ready for it to open up and blow me away, it ends :).. I definitely like the overall feel/tone of the work and it has real potential, but keep samples and effects in mind, and define transitions with a little more clarity..

The phase synth is a bit overused sample, but the violin part and special effects are very good. The perc and bassline are also nice. The only (but big) problem is that there is no real solo in the piece (an overdriven guitar would good). This causes the song to be monotonous and too long in some parts. After all, I like the tune.

The samples work well, and are used effectively. Good work.

This is a well produced atmospheric new-age tune. A lot of effort has gone into panning, though orchestration could have been better. The samples are very clear for 8 bit. I'd be interested as to how the author managed to sample with this clarity. After the start the tune becomes a little bland though. There's nothing to keep the listener's attention. If this tune had more oomph it may have done better. The tune doesn't seem to have much direction, or resolve. This may have been better suited as background music for a game.

wow. that is all I can say. maybe you got lucky and got a judge who really likes your style of music, but this rocks. this is easily the highest score (out of about 26 songs I voted on) I gave; by many points actually. nice samples, very unique. maybe a little more panning slides and would make it even more eerie.. you did an awesome eerie effect. Ilike it. I hope you win -- and I haven't said that to anyone else. my last score was a 34
