The opening to this tune is great, and the use of samples is really quite well done. The chord progession and introduction of parts was done well. The main theme is well written, and everything sounds full. The transition to the second theme is well done, and I like the use of guitar harmonics in the tune, and they have been fitted into the tune very well. And the distored rythym guitar also fits, without any over use. The change at Pattern 44 is good, the return to the main theme with vocals and fuller sound and more complex rythym is great. I really liked this tune.

A poor to fair quality sample set. Bassline is very standard and needs some volumizing on it and this rather retro-80's style beat could use some variation on it. The pipe melody is at rather too high a frequency at times, but has been used with a fair amount of effect. The imperfect cadence vocal ending creates a 'not having finished yet' ending which does not work with this style of music. In all a fairly original track that flows along well and has potential, but could have been done more effectively with more production and polish.

The vocal samples feel like they've been stuck in as an afterthought. The guitar sample feels like it's not used as well as it could have been. Two of the bass samples are badly tuned. Too repetitious.

The begging is interesting, but the first set of vocals sounded cut off and I had to restart the song 3 times to hear what it said. Very interesting style, however, the flute/sinewave gets too high for comfort. I like the effects you created in this song. Especially the feedback flute. Very interesting, and it keeps my attention. There is also a definate flow in the song; it's not just the same stuff over and over and over again. You have many different sections of the song. I don't like how you changed the vocal to a different note than what is was recorded in. I relize you have to worry about the size of the song, but that is just one of those things that annoys me but no one else :) I didn't like the ending at all. It was left in an off key to the rest of the song. It didn't really feel like an ending, and I was expecting much more, but didn't find anything. A very interesting and emotionally stirring song - good work!

Not a bad song. However, it depends waaaay too much on the feedback lead! It is quite overplayed, such as in patterns 14-17. The most effective parts of the song were the "chorus" style sections, such as patterns 10-13. The feedback lead was in those patterns, but it wasn't the sample that defined the whole sequence. Maybe some use of instrument D would help in patterns 14-17. The voices worked well enough, but changing their pitch doesn't work. It created tempo problems that were hard to ignore. "Why Cry" is a solid song, but needs some work.

An all around good piece, special kudos for the way you reused your themes over and over without getting repetitious. Background texture had a lot to do with that. I liked the way you changed it at different times from the melody- it gave "Why Cry" a great sense of continuity. Likewise the vocals. Usually I don't 'approve' of them, but you did a good job bringing the track full circle with them at the climax. The climax was antoher thing: a lot of the entries I've listened to haven't really climaxed. Yours had a definate sense of motion and moving _to_ somewhere. Other things- decent samples, good technical. Above all, excellent form.

Nice melody sometimes unusual but ok. This modul is ok.With some more changes in melody this modul would be good.
