Great opening. Good use of the panning, and good use of strings. Percussion is simple, but effective. Watch instrument volumes, even as relevant to panning. Snares should be slightly louder (for example). Even though it doesn't really count...the title is very appropriate.

A great song. Really a nice ballad, not even too cheesy, like many songs of this type you hear in such a contest. There are many mood changes and the occasional 'voice' samples prevent it from being 'just another cheesy ballad'. But I think I wouldn't have used that'electric guitar' sample. Partly because I don't like that kind of sound generally, but also because such guitar samplesalways sound somehow 'unprofessional'. Something that should have been fixed is the loop of sample no. 7 (the voice sample you can hear right at the end of the song). Also there is this clicking in that harp sample in the beginning.

The beginning sounds interesting and hopeful. Good technique. The next tracks are maybe less brilliant, but the reason seems to be the flaws in the skills of this tracker, not that he didn't work enough on the song or didn't try to make a good tune. This composition, in the hands of a more experienced tracked could have done a good position at the veteran division. It's maybe too long. Samples sound fine, but not great. Good job... Keep on like this.

When you first listen to this song, the impression you got is that it definetly reflects the title. has very nice pannings, worked by hand; nice samples (good quality at 8 bits) Has good melodic line, pretty nice worked. This guy has potential. The tune is kinda grandious (maybe because it is worked in 28 channels). It uses samples (the instrument mode is not enabled), and panning like this, without instrument control is a little bit harder...so it implies much more effort in tracking... The middle part is played at a lower volume so you can imagine what he wanted to say... Overall, the tune is excellent for rookie.

The beginning is quite interesting, as is the lead. I like the mild use of effects, the soothing slides, and the soft melody, it really does sound it is something about children, soft, vegetizing, and relaxing. Unfortunately it does lack a few key components. One of these are quality samples. At first I thought there was a reoccuring click, but as it turns it, it was a drum sample. Maybe sample #20 is too common to have been used, but it does go well with the song afterall. Sample #8 needed a better loop though, it was too noticable during the song. Another thing to look at is perhaps the voice which says "hearts of children", it really doesn't go properly with the song. Maybe if you record your own sample, or if you properly lower it's pitch it would go with it. I really like the melody though. It is going to get stuck in my head if I don't stop playing this song. Another thing which I think could have helped a lot would be a good drum track near the last half (order 17). I really got into the solo at Order 14 though. Very well. Although maybe it could've been just a guitar (sample 1) solo. Although track #4 plays it at very high pitch, that part could've been left out, it interfeared with it. You have something which a lot of trackers don't have anymore,....the ability to make a GOOD melody, unfortunately, at the moment, you lack certain tracking skills required for this song to really take off, but like everything else, it will come with time. Good melodies are the hardest things to learn how to make, tracking is the easiest. So overall, I really DIG this tune ;-).... Keep tracking man!!!
