That guitar part is appropriate for the first couple of orders, but after that it quickly starts to bore the listener. The whole song also seems to exhibit this deficiency, to a lesser extent. Track 13 of order 4 sticks out of this song like a sore thumb. Instruments are well-done -- you use a favorite trick of mine (multiple instruments with different envelopes/vibrato/whatever pointing back at the same sample). Unfortunately, some of the instruments have trouble fitting with the song (like that snare that's way too tight, even played an octave low) and with each other (the low string bass instruments 9..11 have trouble against the guitar instrument 18, for example).

ambient demo-style; best usage of string samples I've heard. Very good usage of volume, mix sounds full and smooth at the same time. Percusion samples are clear & crisp, the usage of 16-bit samples helps make the song so ear pleasing. Sample 30 comes in at exactly the right moment in pattern 6. The pitch-dropping sample #1 is just awesome; well used. Love the rain sample as well.

I might say that the act of you throwing in horribly loud bass drums was an act of genius, seeing how when you get rid of them later on for a return to the original introish sound, it is almost like an 'escape' from the horrible nature of those loud techno boom boom bass drums. But I know it is not an act of genius. I was very disappointed to hear those bass drums come in, actually, after such an AWESOME intro. The flute line is great, the chord progression presented is great, and the background 'water' sound you add is excellent. My only complaint was the chip sample you used (which would've sounded much better as a guitar or a piano or something).. But that complaint seemed to PALE in comparrison when I heard those bass drums kick in. What were you thinking? The only way I can justify this is by thinking that maybe your speakers such and don't have much bass output. But nevertheless, those bass drums ruined it for me. Not only do the bassdrums not fit this genre of music, but they are amazingly and overpoweringly loud. Even with those bass drums, as unfitting as they are, I would've lived with them if their volume was at maybe 50% of what you put them at. It also wouldn't hurt to put the global volume of sample 7 down to 32. At any rate, this song has many good aspects. The flute lines are nice, the chord progression is excellent, and the change made in order 6 is awesome. You do a nice job with strings, (ripped Skaven's marcato strings, did you? bad..) a decent ending, and made great use of that backgroundish water sample. The bassdrums killed it.

Drumbeats in Pattern 1 do not really fit. Modify the samples some to make it sound better. Play with volume (slides and general) and panning (the same) to make the song flow better and be more interesting. Watch out! some of the samples were out of tune!

too much doubling of voices, try and lower the volumes of other tracks instead of doubling everything but 1 track great melody drumbeat is too powerful over all, drowns out the good melody established transition to patter 8 is a bit rough try adding a counter melody to draw the listening into the music, melodies are hard to come up with, counter melodies are the easy and often neglected part of music variety in drum beat needed

Really nice track. Good clean samples (nicely looped too :) and good tune. My only complaint would be directed to the drums + drumtrack, it should be a little bit more waried, feels a bit too simple or repitive as it is, I also think the drums are a bit too loud and drown out the other samples in the song (guitar & flute). Otherwise, a rather nice if a little bit simple tune.
