Whoa. This is the first successfull attempt to track a free-jazz like tune that i ever was able to listen to. Congrats. Well, i've almost nothing to say about the musical aspects, as it's simply cool, but the walking bass is sometimes not following the harmonies correctly and the drums are slightly too confused in some places. Also, the drum solo at the beginning is far too long, you should have laid more value on quality than on length there. But in fact, I extremely like this tune.

I’m far from jazz-a-holic, but this song does quite a good job in the genre of tracked jazz. Looking at is as just another song instead of analyzing it in the context of tracked jazz, I find it to be very upbeat, nice transitions, and never boring. Given the number of people I’ve seen raving about this song in #trax I’d say it probably deserves to win the rookie division this year, though I personally would prefer a song of the same quality and originality in a different genre.

Nice little jazz piano tune. This song is impressive for a rookie. Has some good piano riffs. The downfall to this song is its simplicity. It is just straight drum, bass, with a piano solo on top for the entire 2:30, which is a bit too short.

In my opinion the pace of the song is excessive. Don't rush in as if you are in a hurry to get over with it. Another thing that bothers me is the drum solo at the opening. The introduction should set the mood and give a preview of the up-comming song. Enough with the negative remarks, I enjoy very much the duel between the two pianos. Orders #23 and #24 are pretty nice and entertaining. One thing that makes your song unstructured is the constant change of mode. Stick to a particular mode and gradually progress to another one. Finally, the last thing I want to make a notice of is the bass in channel #5. Give the listener's a break. It just doesn't have an end.

A real jazz cafe feel, m6r-drwn.it is a happy 3-piece band romp. The piano sounds very believable, and the percussion line was very nicely laid out. The major criticisms are: 1) the song opens with a 30-second drum intro, that's way too long for an opening and would have been better placed in the middle of the song; 2) the bass sounded rather fake---it would have been better off if there were more samples that made up that instrument; 3) the song is way too short. I expected to hear some nice soloing, but only the drums got a chance in the beginning. Overall, a very distinctive effort that should probably have competed in the intermediate or veteran category...

Originality - Very original. Jazz style, sounds typical of a three-piece jazz band with a virtuoso piano player. Form - Really cool. Makes me want to get up and swing :). Reminds me a lot of a professional three-piece band at a jazz club. I almost expect to hear clinking glasses and muffled voices in the foreground. The long drum solo in the beginning seems to stretch on for a bit, but shows that not just the pianist is really good. The ending is a surprise, but fits in the style well. Technique - Whew, you are good! I really like the way this sounds almost real. That must mean you can emulate real jazz by tracking very proficiently. Sample Quality - Great. All in tune, and of great quality. Overall - At the end, I wished it would keep going! :) Really good, and as I mentioned before, it sounds almost real.
