There's obviously put some effort into this tune, but there is still a long way to go. First some straight ahead critics - way too many channels are used to make this ballad kind of tune. 32 channels is way too much for this - you should practise more on how to pack your notes together using less channels without loosing width in your sound. Your tuning seems to be ok, which is good actually, as that seems to be the general problem among a lot of composers - even very experienced composers can have problems with their tuning. Anyway, I downright can't stand the drums, you're using. They're of such a low quality! Conclusion - you may not get a big score for this tune, but if you keep on working with your sound and tracking technique, who knows what can happen :)

I really like this song. The dragging beat with the strings and little half-hidden melodies in the background fits really well together and there's a lot of variation, though it seems to me that it's basically the same thing running all the time, but it works. The only spot I could find was the somewhat abrupt ending.

Too much channels wasted. But it is sound quite good. Maybe it's too much "easy to listen".

The main item that lept out and grabbed me in this peice was that the song seamed detached from itself. What I mean is this, most of tha petterns seemed to be in small groups, almost like mini songs themselves. Aslo, most of the samples refused to work together at all, making it seem that the artist had many intreguing ideas that they wanted to put forth. Smoother transistions may have helped, but a general theme to the song would have been better.

i like this, alot. actually this rookie track is the best tune i've been assigned to judge (vets included). mostly chip instruments here, but i wouldn't want to refer them as chip, maybe analog sounding samples. the rhythm line is simple but fits well in the tune. melodies are good, especially i like the sliding and echoing. neat ending. overall very good rookie entry.
