You had a nice idea with the melody, only problem with it was that we heard the same melody the whole way through the song. There were some glaring problems with your song, but let me first say that i enjoyed the intro very much, and you should have stuck to just one flute, instead of changing leads so very often. Now, Sample 9 is horrible, and WAY to loud for the rest of the instruments, I can see that you were trying to use some special effects on it, but why throw in an overpowering lead for just 1 pattern?? Your drums were well suited to the song, although i recommend you try and stay away from the typical tom roll which you used several times in the song. Sample 5, the guitar type sample, was used way out of tune, listen to it again by itself with only the chimes, and you will see what i mean. I also feel that the you could have chosen a better string sample, as at times it sounded like it was just out of tune because you played it a frequency that was too low for the sample, try and get different notes of a sample sampled when you use a whole range of notes. I also think that you should have cut your patterns to 48 instead of using all 64 and having to run into the next pattern halfway through a bar. Overall you had a very nice idea, just try to work on your mixing and concentrate on one lead instead of four of them, it only makes it easier. Hope to judge you in the intermediate category next year.

This is so simple. But still, it sounds good. Never track something like what I heard in pattern 24 again (well, you could track like that, but not in *THIS* module. It doesn't fit). It had well begun; I thought a little bit of saxophone was going to play -- but then, I heard that super duper mega horribly ugly sound... you know, that distorted synthetizer in channels 17-18. The end wasn't great neither. That's about the two only bad points I can get out of this module... You've got some talent, man!

hmm... not a bad idea, but the track itself repeats itself way too much considering how little it has to offer. And I kept thinking the various parts of the track didn't always stay in tune and on the right beat, especially the flute vs drums. Panning strings from hard left and then playing them only in mid-pos is just a plain bad idea. The drum track itself is just... flat out predictive and dull. Possibly the thing I liked best in the track is the harpstrings which form the backbone of the track, rest of the things are just not good enough. And I'll say it again, the track is way too repetitive :(

Very relaxing tune. Take care about tuning some strings samples. The stereo is greatly set. You should use NNA continue for you percussions : the reverb is cut by other samples, what make very unprofessionnal. The chords are very interesting, but there is no bridge, the grid is the same for the whole song. Good work, try to apply some signifiant variations to your songs.

Nice mellow song. The song gets real repetitive though. use volslides and new instruments/themes to make it a little more exciting.
