Good use of panning...but opening 3 orders lack interest. Watch your chord theory...it tends to be the biggest downfall of the song. Also the first 8 channels rarely change...we need variety here. Samples are clean...but not well matched.

This song starts interesting (although this way of starting a track is not used for the first time here...), and for the first few patterns I thought it might be the best one I've heard so far. But then all these string lines came in and destroyed the whole song. Looking at the title I think it might be possible it's purpose that it sounds so 'strange'. If this is the case, then I'm probably just the wrong person to review this song. As for the samples, they are not spectacularly great, but nevertheless well chosen.

That sample repeated form the beggining till the end of the song (with some patterns of rest) is irritant. Something like this can make any entry fail. It sounds out of tune; I needed all my willpower for stoping the temptation of stoping the song. Maybe the best of this song is the background, excluding that sample, but when the main theme has so little quality, technical and artistic, it doesn't care too much.

*File Specs* [Filename]m6r-lfdn.xxx [Title]LifeDeath Nocturne [Total playing time]03:30 *Musical Values* [Creativity]Unsufficient, the music lacks of good key variation and wrong melody combinations, though there has been done an attempt to create a variable song it misses various things that makes it enjoyable.[Story]It appears to be some kind of chase-tune. [Structure]The structure is descent in the following aspects:song build is good, intro, building of tension, some of the breaks, a little variability in the percussion lines. The following things are bad:many repeative motifs, no keychange, it is getting boring already in the middle [Harmony]None seriously found.[Realness/Fantasy factors]N/A *Technical Values* [Instruments]Fair. [Samples]Familiar but okay. [Arrangements]Echos are nicely done, the percussion is in rythem there is a cadans here but the strings are used in a very nasty fake way, no impact where needed and cut-off samples on places where they need to fade out, unnatural way of instrument usage a lot of repeative patternuse method programmed in the song order (0101020203030404 etc) little songmixing... [Use of...]N/A [Sample Quality]The samples sound better then they are used unfortunately. *Sounding Techniques* [Depth]None [Width]Ocassionally [Headphones]Not too pleasant to listen to but also not too annoying. [Speakers]Reasonable output.

The beginning sounds pretty cool, but afterwards the tune begins to sound pretty crappy. The drums are tracked pretty well, but the leads and the background lack of inspiration. The whole thing is dissonant but maybe that's the way it was supposed to be. The guy may turn into a good tracker if he learns some musical theory. Almost no panning used (so stereo=mono). No effects used, either.
