I can tell that you know how to track, so why send this in? A loose juxtaposition of annoying samples. Very repetitive song. Annoying panning all over the place, and ... er ... well, the song title is well chosen. Put this effort into some serious work instead.

Is this a joke? If it is, it's a bad one. If it isn't, what were you thinking? Panning is something to be used artfully, not randomly spinning around back and forth, it made me dizzy! The song had nothing to it. The chords were asinine and boring. Think again next year if you enter, this was really bad.

Well, the song started out well, with nice left to right panning effects in the intro. I really like the backwards tape sound you used. There is a stretch of nothing but the same repetitive beats and background after the intro which seemed neverending. Then main phrase kicked into high gear, and I was starting to wonder if this was really music. The background beat didn't match the rest of the song at all. The melody was lost in the glare of all the other sounds happening at the same time. I liked the unusual variety of sounds you used in the piece, but much better cohesion between them is needed.

Take some time to listen to a "real" song on the radio, they have chorus' and bridges etc. Its not just add a guitar, now add a drum, now add a lead. Songs require structure, and it seems to me you have not tracked many songs in Impulse Tracker. what i recommend is trying to track a cover of one of your favorite songs, try and select samples as close to the instruments in the real song and track each note in your .IT that is played in the real song. That will help you to learn structure, and also you wil learn how to use more effects. Perhaps you should also take your favorite .IT's and try and track your most favorite parts with your own samples. Good Luck.

The song's name definately goes hand in hand with the song itself. I analyze this one as all the other contribution, without bothering that this "song" must be a joke. The samples sound okey, but the song doesn't; it's a mish-mash of tones, meaning nothing to a musician (well, as much as colours would mean to a colorblind). The overall standing can't be much, and to tell you the truth, if there was a minus-scale, this song would reach the bottom of it, but since the author shows knowledge of using a tracker, and since he enters this competition as a rookie, he must be sure of what he's doing. The overall must then be a five (5), but only because he shows abilities, not talent. This competition is supposed to be serious, meaning that the contents also should be the same.

Owch! If it weren;t for the melody present in the song I would rate this song quite badly. It is repetitive, and the samples grind in my ears. If you wanted to get a listener's attention, you did a good job of it. To start off, the song continues to build and build and build until there is too much going on, and then it keeps building. Also, the melody at the beginning of the song repeats through the entire song, giving me a headache. When the song quiets down 2/3 the way through the song I almost wanted to cheer. My head got a break. But this brief break does not last too long as the song builds up to having too much going on again. The ending sequence is nice, not much going on here. Good. If the melody was not as good as it was, I would have rated this much lower. This song needs some major work, but there is talent in here. Many of the patterns individually are quite good, but having them all together destroys the song. With major refining this song would be pretty good.
