Judge: Trencsenyi ,Zsolt Hey, who can tell me what is this song about?! :) OK, You're a rookie, I see. Is this song your first ever made? I can rate the originality of Your song. I never heard such a tune before. But anyway, this is a very strange song, without any harmony, weak arrangement, lack of dymanics, only the samples can help it. Worse than mediocre. You have to learn some musical theory, some tracking tricks and then try to create a better tune next year. See ya. |
Judge: Knutsen ,Joern Some kind of ambient music. It seems like your playing intr. 5 an octave too high. Is that a rythm?(Pattern 6) You, like many others, has no structure in your tune, and it becomes a mess. Because of that you score low in the form section. But rather high on originality, though. The samples are OK, but used the wrong way. |
Judge: Kim ,Rob This sounds really screwed up. The themes brought up sound random, however sometimes interesting. Often, there appears a serious lack of harmony. The piece sounds like a tune that I might have heard on "phantasy star" for the sega genesis. |
Judge: Zahn ,Derek This was a fairly original song with very interesting samples; unfortunately it didn't grab me very much, it just seemed to wander from section to section aimlessly without much real variation and no strong melodies or ideas to hold on to. Not awful, but not very memorable either. |
Judge: Bertilsson ,Henrik An overall of 15 should cover this song's contents. The samples are bad; there are some really bad loops in them, which irritates me. What you need to do with a song like this is to create a bigger environment by adding more reverbs, pannings and definately new samples, as the ones in the song are very weak for a song like this. Still, the author shows some musical talents and I believe he/her will improve by listening to other computermusicians on the scene, and perhaps try to read more about the effects in the help-files. Keep on composing rookie! |
