The flute and strings intro is nice, then it immediately launches into the main theme which is also nice but continuous use of sample #11 annoys me. The theme is repeated over and over and over with only minor variation. The slowdown around 25 and subsequent buildup back to the main theme being a nice exception. The ending is a bit abrupt. I like the song, but I don’t love it.

More of the slow electro-pop variety. This one, however, has some class. The beat and bass and melody combine to make a very catchy groove. Samples are nice, panning is used well, nice stereo image. Chord structure and flow is excellent, lots of thick voicings, gives a nice layered sound. The only drawback is that the song doesn't ever deviate from the Am G F progression... which means that after about 2-3 minutes, it gets a bit repetitive. This is largely forgiven in rookie div, though. Nice work.

About the samples, you should only be using 8 bits samples. There is absolutely no differences between the two qualities for your samples #4, #8, #9 and #12. Thanks for closing the unused channels, this simple task demostrates your respect for the listener. The song carries well because of its strong structure. It can easily be sliced up into different parts. I was misleaded to think the song's ending was reached in order #17 by the instrument in channels #18-19. The main theme is complicated enough to sustain interest. But the lack in exploration of the theme by the lead instrument brought the music into boringness. By all meas, don't fail into believing that I didn't like your song. Its length is perfect, as well as the panning. The song is very straight forward so it is easy to listen to. Just as this style of music should be. Great work. I'll anticipate your next release.

What does this tune do in rookie?! This Should be in the intermediate or the veteran! Great leads, original tune, well tracked, interesting. Good (not great) samples. Definitely a great tune!

This piece starts with great melody and uses 30 channels, but it does so with clarity, and it doesn't drown the listener. It is original sounding, although similar in style to other pieces I have judged. The piece makes me thoughtful. Just a little bit repetitive and it ends somewhat abruptly, but these tend to fit into the style of the piece. I envision a lazy flight over vast plains of tall grass and deep blue oceans. The technique is almost masterful, juggling many patterns and effects wisely. Panning is handled very well, and other technical aspects are great. The piece nearly sounds CD quality. (Perhaps I need a better soundcard :). The samples are clear and of good quality. Overall, it sounds as if a lot of time and effort were put into this, and it is pulled off very well.
