Very interesting and clever panning. The composer has gone for some visual effects with the arpeggios when viewed in Impulse Tracker. Interesting theme, and song to match. However I feel something is lacking here. I don't know if it is a lead melody. It just doesn't seem to grab you and keep you interested after the first half. Which leads me to believe the author wrote the first half and then left this tune alone for a while before continuing it. The second half goes on for too long. Maybe the composer could have expanded on the first few patterns and changed the direction of the tune. The choir sample was too loud, and panning was enveloped which led the sample to pan from ear to ear annoyingly.

The intro set the mood very well, using multiple channels to produce the echo sound for the piano. It led into the main theme quite well. What a surprise! A change of beat and pace was unpredictable after listening to the slow mellow intro. Well done, it keeps the listener's attention going. Some samples are worn out, but still used in a good fashion. The "fast" section, I think, got a little too repetitive. More variation, like a piano solo, would have been nice. A potential song that definitely has alot of room for improvement. After some improvement, it would be an ideal theme for a movie(?)

Repetitive. My attention started wandering around the 2:30 mark, as there weren't many changes to hold my attention; there needs to be more changing that just one lead....That beginning part could have been done with a lot fewer channels than the ten or so that it took up. (try NNAs, although there has to be more than one way to do so) ....Volume control is used sporadically, generally only for the occasional fade in/out....Technique is mostly made of placing notes, and doing fade ins/outs. This isn't a bad thing, but does show beginner level skill; there's so much more to do....The song doesn't have any glaring dissonance...Decent rookie entry.

Nice use of panning. Sampled chords take down your technique score. Despite your efforts, I think you are trying to work a bigger mix than your skill allows. I detect some major Skaven-influence, altough that is not such a big problem since you are a rookie. Once the beat starts the song gets quite boring, to be frank. Some nice chords and voicings there, though. Despite all that I was tempted to skip a few patterns in the middle part. This tune does show some promise, but you should strive to create memorable melodies and musical ideas instead of just working with the overrall sound.

I like the intro with the guitar and strings. The bass that follows, though, is horrendous. The bass drum is equally annoying. It's the surreal feeling of the strings along with the echoing piano which really save this song, they really give it an eerie feeling. As the same gathers energy I'd recommend some harder sounding drums instead of sticking to the bass and hihat. Not surprisingly, the song sounds a lot better in the last few seconds when it loses the bass, and goes into its clean finish.
