Judge: Szmajda ,Joshua Nice mix, if only the solo were mixed higher it would be great. The samples work, the music flows, but it doesn't really go somewhere. It just sort of vascillates back and forth. If you'd gone somewhere and perhaps mixed a little better, it would have been great. |
Judge: Voois ,Vincent *File Specs* [Filename]m6r-owtr.xxx [Title]One Way Trip [Total playing time]03:35 *Musical Values* [Creativity]Nice concept, nice intro, nice ending but the middle is quite repeative... one key-jump actually no key change.[Story]Blurred abstrative song..[Structure]It starts slowly, breaks and murbles into an organic section with a subtile beat... nice concept, almost no melodical aspects, one keycircle which jumps up and down a level here and there. [Harmony]Yes musical and atmospherical there's harmony. [Realness/Fantasy factors]Sufficient. *Technical Values* [Instruments]Fair arranged.[Samples]A few are badly looped, some sample ends needed volume-zero ramping to cut the "tick" on the end when stoping to play the sample.[Arrangements]The flow is nicely done, there has been played with volume and slide aspects in a subtile way, panning mixing is good considered, not that much flaws toi mention in the technical arrangement of the song.[Use of...]N/A [Sample Quality]Some good, some bad:average. *Sounding Techniques* [Depth]Little but surfacial. [Width]Good. [Headphones]Fair. [Speakers]Good output. |
Judge: Sipe ,Conor The title fits in with the music quite well. I really like the combination of the heartbeat effect and the right to left pans in the leadin and ending of the song. The transition between the intro and the main phrase is somewhat abrupt and accentuated by the increase in the tempo of hte beat. Once in the main phrase, all I could think about is just how mellow the song is. There is almost nothing that tells me I'm not just listening to the background of another song. Where there is a main melody which stands out, it just repeats the same few phrases over and over again. On the whole, a nice song, but could use some major work. |
Judge: Tanase ,Adrian Nice introduction, pretty cool panning. This guy uses pretty much effects. He seems to be a little more than a rookie. But he don't know how to dinamize the sound. The tune sounds pretty base, no high freqs. He uses delays (echos) also. Nice tracked. |
Judge: Raitio ,Samuel I like the soft, controlled tone of this song. A well-balanced mix of samples. Good structure and technique. |
