Judge: North ,DTravis Great sample quality. for the most part, they're also well matched. Percussion is affected properly by the song...khudos. Great transition at orders 18 and 19. Piano tends to be redundant, but its deistant enough to be acceptable. |
Judge: Schulze ,Markus I wouldn't have used that piano sample. I may be wrong, but it seems I have heard this sample in several dozens of songs (at least). And this lead synth (samples no. 16 and 17) sounds pretty thin for me. But the song itself is not at all bad. It has some kind of atmosphere (I don't know how to explain this better). But it seems to be based completely on one chord, and there only one pattern in the drum section, so it gets boring soon. What's good is that there is not only one more or less static string pad (or whatever). Instead the pads in the background somehow seem to 'move' steadily. So it's not necessarily a great song, but you can listen to it without getting any embarrassing diseases. |
Judge: Roirand ,Johan really nice tune, but the drums line is really too common'n basic. |
Judge: Carman ,Richard A decent song. You have to work on a better beat with more pronounced leads. |
Judge: Landekic ,Bojan What this song needed was a pronounciable name ;-).... No actually it didn't really need that much. The opening phase was quite good. An extremly good song, but quite a few things were missing from it. One was a punch line. I couldn't really see the song taking off anywhere in it. It just sort of went through a few variations of the original tune, added a beat every now and then (very glad it wasn't a drumloop!), and that was it...but I still found it very exquisite. I wish I could complain about more things in your song, but there just aren't any more to complain about. I really liked, especially the piano you add in at Order 31 (at the end). I could only wish for you to learn how to use IT's INSTRUMENTS completly, including the NNAs such as note fade/note off. You have good overall control of the basic IT functions, but the more advances ones, such as chanells and multichannels, weren't ever touched in your song. The song is good, just keep the above things in mind next time, and don't be afraid to use NNAs, they'll save you time, and give a whole new approach to designing music - you won't worry about channels that much anymore. |
