Now, Now, you know as well as i do that you are not a rookie, I hope this is the first time you have entered MC6 as I found that your song stood head and shoulders above all the other Rookie Songs i had to judge. I really enjoyed your chord progression, and the way you brought in your new samples. I think though that your time changes needed some help, they were either too fast, or they left me thinking that you had so many ideas, you just sort of dropped the one, and then when your inspiration was gone, you slowed it down again. Your drums were nice, although maybe a bit more variance is in order, and i must complement you on your melodies. I was very impressed by your use of instruments, and the song has a polished feel to it. I get the feeling by looking at your samples that you have tracked a good many songs in impulse tracker before... I hope to see you in the top 10 this year and hopefully up in the veteran section pretty soon. Very nice work, sneaky to enter the rookie section though :)

I would like to see this song in a demo. It has all of the great parts needed for this. Song name is suggestive but after first pattern I understand why it is called this I think. There seem to be little things happening all throughout the tune. Just like a real rain forest that would have different layers to it this song also does.

I like the style, it sounds a bit like Mike Oldfield's "Song for the Distant Earth" album. I don't like the way the tempo change is done in order 14. I slightly disliked patterns 16 to 19, because of the "drum'n'bass" beat drawing too much attention. Patterns 14-35 were less good than the rest in my opinion, but it's still a good thing they're there. Your style change inside the module is neat. The end would have been better by lowering the birds' volume and having more with different panning -- to give a surround feel.

I personally could have done without the nature sounds that start and end this song, but that's not too big a deal. I like the beat that comes in, though more variation in it would have been nice. I feel that the transition to the faster section could have been better, but that section itself is a really nice change of pace. The transition back to the slower pace is better. The song is able to keep my interest throughout quite easily. Not an exceptional piece, but still quite good.

This song doesn't quite flow too well (the sections don't always go together, there are bits that don't quite seem to fit into the song right etc), but it's still a pretty good piece. I can't find any glaring tuning errors or dischords. The atmosphere of the piece is good. Decent percussion, most of the samples suit the feel of the piece... yeah, it's good stuff.
