I always try to pick out something worthy in most songs even if it's a theme buried under a few layers of jumbled sound, but I could not discern any musical talent in this piece. Out of the 25 instruments that made up this crap, I could only remember hearing about 10 of them. I can't criticise the tuning of the instruments because, well, there was no melody nor harmony nor any other passage in the song which would require tuning. Percussion was nonexistent and the pace of the "song" varies from pattern to pattern, it would seem. The volumes were cranked way to loud and the stereo panning, heh ehh, well just doesn't exist. The voice samples carried no common theme: how or what does "at the age of 15 we shall [be] temped by fate" have to do with "keep the frequency clear!"? FOR FUTURE REFERENCE: 1) pick a theme ahead of time and stick with it, 2) find instruments and voice samples which are appropriate to that theme, 3) build a sense of progress in the song with the use of percussion, bass, or other miscellaneous instruments in recurring rhythm, 4) read the Zen of Tracking, 5) read the Impulse Tracker docs, 6) get some peer review (that means finding some friends to listen to your song), 7) don't enter a song like this into an international contest which makes you basically lose face, 8) PLEASE reread these comments again.

Awful, and I'm very sorry. No intro, no theme, no panning (pre-set pan values), no volume/fx work, no chords. This one was a pain to hear. Indeed, twice tempted and NO result. Samples are bad. Overally - mess. No potential at all.

You got to be kidding me. This is a joke tune, right? You didn't spend more than at max 1 hour on this, right? Please tell it was a joke tune. Then again, don't tell me. This was just plain bad. *sigh* What a waste of time...

There was no recognisable tune or rhythm in this song. Some music theory may help out a bit in this. There are plenty of resources available on the Internet to help out beginner trackers and give some basic music theory that you should probably take a look at. And some parts in this song (e.g. around order 11) there were some interesting effects in noise done, but it seemed that not enough effort was put into them to make them sound decent. Also you should learn how to use looping and sample offset, as that would have helped you get a much smaller song out of this. Sample 12 was just a snippet of sample 11 looping. You should have marked off part of sample 11 in a loop and then just use sample offset (command Oxx) to jump to that part of the sample. Tricks like this, which are very important to getting a small and efficient song, are explained in the Impulse Tracker readme file and on countless sites on the Internet. What you need to do is really concentrate on the good parts of the song (e.g. in my opinion, the noise around order 11) and build around that.
