Judge: North ,DTravis Jarre meets the 80's and Japanese techno/disco. Seriously though, the song was very fun and enjoyable. Technical effects were rarely used, but used well. I like the temporary use of the speed rocking technique...it adds a new dimension to the song. |
Judge: Schulze ,Markus This is one of my favourite tracks, and I don't really know what I should criticize. Maybe the organ and brass samples are a bit overused, and Igenerally don't like those samples (they sound too much like jazz - I hate jazz!) Oh, and that break in pos. 26/27 somehow doesn't fit in there (in the first moment I thought the song had reached the end and was looped). And I think it uses too much voices. I reduced the maximum number of channels to 32 and didn't miss a lot. But apart from that - it's certainly not a perfect track, not even close to perfect, but it IS a damn great one. It uses proper panning, sounds (nearly) pro- fessional and - well, it just sounds great. |
Judge: Rodriguez ,Daniel Very well done. The beginning is direct and shows you what you're going to hear the following minutes. The structure is fine: the changes really change the song, so you ever get bored guessing if you could press the '+' key. Maybe it's not too original, but nothing is perfect. |
Judge: Roirand ,Johan too common style. but nice melodies and varations. really nice to listen to it actually!:) |
Judge: Reed ,Ben Panning is a bit extreme at the beginning, and the cymbals seem out of place in the intro part, but you get some nice energy going once it gets moving past the intro. Very oldskool sounding, but good execution of the genre. You do a decent job of breaking things down and keeping the chord changes interesting. The sample set could be a bit better, but then, it fits with the style. Once it gets moving in the stuff around orders 16-17, you really have something nice going, and I like the chord change at order 20. Overall, a good example of synth-pop, and pretty well-tracked. |
Judge: Carman ,Richard Really cool. Some arabic influenced pop ;). Good leads/drums. Nice panning. I like it ;) |
