Man, this song almost made me go to sleep. But luckily around order 30, your song woke me up with a kick *** bassline and a beat, a real beat (hehe, sorry... j/k.. your beginning rhythm was good). The resonanse bass typy instrument saved your. The vocal is great, gives it a hip hop feel, great contrast to the beginning themes, but it should be more noticed. This isn't a bad song, but there's nothing that really stands out. Very original, but the samples were bad. The bass, i heard alot of click click click click. And with the snares... they sound almost like static. Nice ambient background holding the beats together. Good job man.

Successfully ambient, yet with strong development and variation. I love how you create the atmosphere with the help of effects like sample 8. The piano was well tracked (still could be improved though). The piano sample itself sucks. Especially when it is used as a lead, it really shows. No matter how well you tracked it, the bad sample still shows through. Well, it wasn't that the sample was _that_ bad - but it obviously couldn't be played that high... you should have resampled a high piano note for the track. The notes were also obviously too staccato, a side effect of playing low samples high. Looping the end of the sample would have also helped make the notes last longer. Use the instrument volume envelope to silent it out instead of letting the sample run out of bytes to play - it'll sound more natural - and give you more control. After all, you should be able to control the tracker - not the other way around. Still, I found the overall song to be enjoyable and it keeps my interest through to the end. Good opening and outtro too.

samples - that harpsichord-style sample became a little harsh after awhile.. the contrast with the smooth pads wasn't too appealing.. yet most of the synthy samples and instrumentation was beautiful in the beginning and then WOAH.. a totally new song :) drumloops are fine if they're used as support or a simple backing but in this case they were used throughout with some alteration as the main percussion and in the style of the first half of the song some other samples wouldve been preferred.. form - despite the fact that the song was pretty well tracked (technique), and the link between the first part/second part of the song was smooth i heard little correlation between them.. technique - not bad.... nice details and such.. panning was a little hard in some areas but otherwise, a fluid piece and the tracking ability has nice potential... overall, besides being a 2-in-1 deal the song showed versatility and good effort...

It is easy listening music. Good idea with middle part, some very good brushes ( but cutted drum loop is not such nice ). It has okay panning slides and FX. This guy knows how to use XI. Maybe whole idea is littlebit killed by lead piano maybe another instrument will make something more special.

Samples: Clean. Instrument 18h is really out of tune. Effects: Echo on a piano makes it all muddy especially with tight little piano riffs like at the beginning. The drums in the piano part of the song are too thick in machinegun effects (but they work well on the bass in order 31h. Composition: Drum track could use some work. Fading instruments in and out isn't a recommended method of doing a transition within major parts of a song. At order 24h, the fade to the rezo-synth should probably have been cut over suddenly instead, along with an energy boost in the rest of the song. Song has the requisite mood change and mood return. Good slow-down ending. Subtlety: That middle part sure aspires to be Martian Lovesong but doesn't quite pull it off. Tracking: The opening string isn't synched to the pianos -- the sound is of notes changing too late. Fades are performed well, I guess. Balance: Some attention paid to dynamics. Strong points: Sound f/x, good sample kit, middle part has groove. Weak points: Over-simplicity, repetition, unoriginal synth riffs. Could improve: Probably technique, to start off.

Nice beat and cool rhythm used for the clap sample. But the beat lacked much variation throughout the song. The leads were used effectively with good effects to create that soothing flowing feeling. Overall, the sample quality is pretty good. In my opinion, I think the intro could have been cut out of the song and it would have still been as good.

This song starts off with a really terrible piano part. The sample is poor, and the tracking is just as bad. With piano, don't just put it all on one channel and echo it, put it on several channels, spread it out. Let the notes fade rather than be cut off by the next one. A better use could be made in several places in the song of instruments and envelopes. The piano parts at least manage to be quite dynamic, and the choir-esque pads with it sound quite nice. The song generally sounds very nice, except when there are piano or synth-bell-ish leads on top. There are some good cut up drumloops providing the percussion in the song, and the loops used with the distorted leads are excellent. The distorted leads, and this whole section, is very good. Some of the synth sounds are very nice - if only the piano parts weren't so cheesy and cheap. At least find some better samples for it in future. The form of the song is quite good, it manages to have a good groove in places, although not much sparkling melody (not that you'd expect that in this style of music), and some of the transitions between sections are very well worked. The samples are mostly good, with the aforementioned exceptions, but some of them are looped very poorly. The sounds themselves, except the cut up drumloops which are very nice, aren't particularly amazing, but they are well used in the song. Technically it could be better in places but it's quite good overall. The mixing is pretty good. It's not hugely original, and this style is quite popular in the scene these days, but it's not just an uninspired copy (that I know of, hoho) at least. This is a good song, and the distorted part works very well. It's got some energy, so respect for that.

m6i-chan.xm - Chantaclier ------------------------- Overall: This song is a synthesizer song with very fast beats. But it is not of the hard/tough kind. Later we hear a strong 303 kind of instrument, but this gives the song not a hard touch. (don't get me wrong, I don't think this is a minus). This song rates very good as it took me off my seat and dancing throughout my room. This is always a good sign of good music :-) Orgininalty: At first the song gives a rich and warm sound with the strings. In the middle part a very good 303 kind is introduced. What I like at this part is the good melodic appearance of the song. It is not the usual "one note + many filters" kind of 303. Form: The song has a good structure. After the first part vanished in a fade out, the second theme of the song comes. I like the style of the bass line and the 303 theme very much. What I like most in this middle part is the complex rythm, but unlike the usual jungle style break beats, it is not too fast and too complicated. After the middle part a third theme similar to the beginning is played for another minute, before the song fades out. Technique: The song is made well. The string are faded out and in well, and the different volumes of the different instruments are well balanced. From time to time more sound like intruments are played to make the song more intreresting. Sample: ok. Point: 80

Judge: Tumidajewicz, Przemek

The main part is a bit too 'crowdy' is some places. Voices interfere with each other. If you changed the volumes of some notes, it would sound better. I liked the middle part of your song better, but you should have used more space (esp. on the 303ish lead part).

Judge: Noel, Elliott

Nice beats, some interesting bits and pieces. Good panning though, and some good bass.
