where it ranked #6.

The song present a skilled musician, from technique point of view. And the idea beyond the song is not bad, but the orders from 10 to 20 are really disturbing, and hide the real potentiality of this song. The immediate change from echoed ambient music to plain square-wave sound shocks the listener. The quality of samples is good.

Fairly good technoish dance track, not badly pulled off, at least it kept me interested enough to leave it playing a few times without stopping. It manages to flow fairly well along, not changing much along the track, but still enough so the listener won't grow bored right away. The samples are obviously a mixed bag ripped here and there, though I must admit I was a little bit surprised to see an old echoing crash sound from Bjorn Lynne's Space Deliria (from '90 or so) surfacing here :) The track is fairly well done in most ways, with good use of panning to give the track a little extra swing. Overall, I liked this track and will even keep it around for a while.

intro lacked oomph, do not pique my interest - patterns 7-14 were great :] - synth patterns were kinda repetative, need filter or sample offset or volume varition from section to section - ending left me hanging - good tune, needs a little more feeling injected in, needs to be a bit more alive

I enjoyed this simply tracked demo style tune. The individual parts which made up the tune were well written, and work well together. It reminds me a lot of the Batman Game theme song from the Amiga. The chord progression is catchy and original, however it repeats too much. I would have liked to see a mode change say by introducing a new chord sequence, or a new counter melody, or even a key change halfway through the tune. Some sections are a little roughly joined and loses the feeling of forwards motion. The samples I thought could have been a little cleaner. Bass samples especially should be 16 bit as they pick up the most noise at 8 bit. Good to see the hi frequency samples such as hats and cymbals were kept at 16 bit. This didn't degrade the quality too much as there is always plenty of sound going on at any given time to hide any possible hiss. A few samples I've heard before (even if they are original , they still sound like some well used samples). I feel that perhaps use of some delayed vibrato on the lead strings would have given a little more depth to them. Most of the tune sounds very flat sounding. In sequence 10, channels 8 and 10 the arpeggios could be at %75 the volume they were.

Dare I say it, this song sounds almost a little too.. tracked :). The pulse/beep sample in the middle section is way too loud. The song finally gets decent at order 14h. Voice samples are also too loud. Good ending.

This song gets a little too "samey" too quickly. I also recognised all the samples from other mods - Purple Motion, Elwood, Rage, those kinda places.

Judge: Youkhana, Kevin

The song was great I liked the way the song flowed the samples were done well also.

Interesting.. not sure what to say about this one. There's portions that are pretty good and some that are pretty annoying. The part with the synth riff repeating toward the end with a changing bass note really sounds good but some of the earlier bits don't fit very well with the whole at all.. Dated-sounding samples.. almost all the kind of stuff you could find on an cheesy 80's synth like a korg m1, definitely nothing groundbreaking there.. Above-average technique and attention to detail in the mixing.

Mixing could be better, the drums just don't cut through enough. The sound is great for an intermediate entry, especially some acid-like bass side resonance samples. Hihat samples just sound somehow too "realistic" for this kind of song. In the second part, the mixing is again off the course. The high synth sound is way too loud, almost ruining the otherwise nice part. The intropart was promising, but after it the song starts getting boring. Good handling of the basic riff throughout the song, however.
