AMAZING! I love the synthy feal of this song. Almost a techno-industrial appeal. There's so much variation and it's so captivating. It's perfect. Well... almost. My only complaint is sample 36. Even with all those effects you put in, the sample was out of place. You really needed a more vicious sample to replace it. Not to really copy Andy but, press Alt-A on sample 36 and you can hear how a vicious sample sounds. Use a sample between that primitive viciousness and the original sample's softness. This sample was the only clue that this was an intermediate song - but you should go vet next year. This song really shows your talents. The drums are really impressive as they were actually tracked (and sounded pro). Gotta get more of your stuff in the future :)

Otherwise excellent sample set, but the guitar samples don't quite convince me. Reduce the panning separation a bit, it is too extreme. Beat and resonance elements were good in this song, but chording had weak voicing and the melody was plain meaningless. The song has a hectic and incoherent feeling, maybe because the parts were very short and rapidly changing. Some attempts at a theme, but structure isn't very intelligent. The pads in the middle part are too loud. On the overrall, not too original but decent technically.

Judge: Korte, Jouni

The heavy-metal guitars suited to the this tune surprisingly well and gave some extra mood to the otherwise familiar soundscape. Sample quality was ok, but the use of several drumloops was a disappointment, since I in some way liked how the beat fit together with the rest of song. Use of some effect sounds was nice and technically there was nothing to criticize about. Maybe just a little more variation could have been used, or the song could have been little shorter. But still, my overall feeling about this song was definitely positive and I enjoyed it.

This is a quite well done chaotic song. I cannot find any special musical value here. You are a good tracker. There are some unique samples and You made a good job with mixing them together, however I still cannot say that Your song catched my heart. Those extremely panned voice-pad chords are a bit annoying (the first few patterns) . And there are some other troubles with panning the strings. This was not a good idea. Use a ballanced panning rather, it ates some more channels but sounds better - You have to pay a price for the good sound.

pretty nice. Good beat, nice samples. On the downside, a bit noisey, and the way the song is done isn't very new. but it still is original.

OK-ish chippy samples, but everything is 8bit and loop quality is bad. This tune is in a style often heard in demos. There sure went some heart into it, but the weird mix of guitars and the rest of your samples doesn't work. Good use of FX, but some channel doubling and a drumloop. Panning is overdone, much too extreme. Some harmonical weaknesses (e.g. in the second but last order). High-energy tune with a below-average structure, a bit chaotic. Sorry for not going more in-depth.

Judge: Basic, Predrag

This piece sounds very disjointed in some parts. The leads arn't very catchy and even thought they (the leads) reapear at the end of the song, I didn't really think they were good enough to base a song around. The best part for me infact was the changeup (Pattern 45-50 is the best bit.) even thought the transition to it was not very well done. You have a lot of good ideas that you are trying to get down, I just don't think they all belong in one (this) song. Technique was good, and samples arn't too bad.

Judge: Hesse, Liam

An enjoyable piece of synth with some cool rock overtones. Some of those samples were very recognisable, like the Purple-Motion-Global-Velocity-synth. ;) The transitions could have perhaps been a little smoother.

My first impression of the song it "alright, this is my kind of music!" Nice electronic music with a hard beat, obvious demo-style influence (ex: the lead), lots of texture, in a minor mode. :) Some random impressions: Sample 28 is kind of weak throughout the first half of the song. Nice melodic break around order 46. I wish the ending had more "umph" to it. Alright, to the scores. You received an excellent score in originality. I hear influences from many different places, here, but this song is definitely on it's own, overall. Form was well above-average. It had some nice breaks, and some dramtic ebbs and creshendos... This song is certainly not "flat" in any way. It's really just the lack of ending that keeps the score from being even better. Technique was generally good... You're obviously familiar with the tracker: you know how to handle complex sets of samples, you make good use of instruments, and you 'mix' the samples together well. Which brings us to those samples... It's interesting, how you use some relatively crappy samples (1-8, 22, 23, 32, others), but you use them effectively, so I'll give you a relatively high score in the sample department, too. And your overall score is higher than the 'average' of all the others... this is a case where the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts.

Judge: Brink, Ola

Starts off good, but then gets kind of messy. Quite unclear melodies. Rather good atmosphere most of the time. Clear sound as far as the beat goes, but the technique in the melodies is not that great. Samples are of fairly good quality, but a few loops to many. The slow part is good.

Judge: Grandpre, Dan

Simply awful samples.. they definitely are detrimental to the piece as a whole. The rezzy samples in the intro and the drumloop from necros' 'isotoxin' are among the most obviously silly.. One good thing that can be said is that the composer is at least trying for variety rather than just cutting, pasting, and transposing and calling it a song. Maybe with more experience and better choice of samples, this person could turn out some decent material.. Technique is pretty basic and it's most certainly not original sounding..
