I'm surprised a tune of this nature qualified for round 2. But then, I shouldn't be, as repetitive, game-style techno-pop is becoming popular especially among Euro judges (I recall TG98 as an example). I was at least pleased to see a complete set of samples and no bad voice samples. Panning was good although envelopes were used gratuitously. Everything was fairly "sharp", perhaps if the tune were allowed to flow a little more with those background chords/ strings, and the percussion were more divergent, it could be considered something more musical.

This song did keep my interest. For a song like this, adding more bass might have been a good idea, however starting at the 5 minute mark, you started to use too much. I started to hear a lot of clipping. The introduction could have made a bigger musical statement to inroduce your song (that is what the into is for). The samples were good. Now, I didn't loose my interest... however, the song did seemed to move, but it just was not making any turns (like a key or mood change). You did however make a key change starting at Order 53, but that was not enough for me. If you listen to some other songs, you will hear that the song has different moods, feelings, and just different ideas in the song, but it all goes around one major idea. A VERY good example of this is in this song... "m6v-open.it". This was actually pretty good. Good job.

Effective electronic theme which suffers from lack of a clearly defined melodic pattern. Chord changes are not built up to at all and the lack of volume variation for the most part makes it difficult to sustain attention. The samples are reasonable however a few of them are a bit overused. Stereo effects are also used a little too much, although it does make it an interesting listen with headphones.

I am sure this song took a lot of work and effort, the technicality of it is superb. Effects and panning are not only plentiful, but are effective in adding to the mood of the song. The song was well put together and a masterpiece. The problem lies in the song's form, however. It just does not keep me, as a listener, interested throughout the song. At places I want to hit the fast forward button (if there was one in IT). This problem effects my overall enjoyment of the song.

My original comment for this tune described a fairly accomplished techno track, with solid percussion and a pleasantly percussive feel to the melody. It described the samples as very suitable, and comments on the strong rhythmic bassline which suits the piece. My opinion of this piece hasn't changed; in fact, it's improved a little, since it's managed to stay in my head, which is usually the sign of a good piece. ;)

Techno with some qualities that isnīt found in every song of this kind. Doesnīt take any real chances though. Quite good technique, but could easily get a lot better. Not very orginial. Samples arenīt that great. Rather good variations in the melodies for a song of this sort.

A fast paced demo/techno track which caught my attention with it's quick lead in and interesting backing. Though this style has been done over and over before it did manage to stand out from the other entries this year. However, 5 minutes of this stuff is a bit taxing on one's patience. With only a handful of samples, the tune doesn't have much room in which to explore the sound. It's basically a longwinded repeat of about 4 bars. I didn't think sample 6 (Rez bell synth) worked well at all in the tune, something else should have been used in it's place. The panning and other orchestration worked well. Turn your attention to exploring the sound a bit more, vary your drum track as well. Techno gets bland after a while, so perhaps cut downt the song time to say 3.5 minutes. Over all a pretty decent entry in intermediate! :)

This is not a bad entry, but it's far from being a memorable one. The samples are the best of it, they're clean and fits the song perfectly. The song itself suffers the absence of a main theme. The melodies are not worked, it seems that the tracker decided to concentrate his job on the sound only. Sometimes I had the sensation that the samples were fighting to see which was played faster and louder, but overall it's a solid entry, but the author worked too much on one way.
