Great tune. The lead piano definitely needs to be longer though. When sampled high, use louder extension loops. The loops, as it is, is too quiet. I like the trumpets. Yet, they were still noticeably artificial (again, because of how they were so staccato). The parts where the trumpet was allowed to blow long notes were more realistic. Perhaps using more effect values on the staccato trumpet blasts would help. On the whole, I like how the song develops. I especially like how you aren't afraid of lowering the volume of the background notes. It really gave the song the texture it needed. You've successfully made a jazzy song jazz. Despite some shortcommings in the trumpet, this piece is still my favorite trumpet jazz piece in the scene.

This song could have been great, but it's always difficult to play a sax with a tracker. And you can't obtain a good sound with one sample treated as a nornal lead. The piano samples are also not very realistic. But the main theme is wonderful, catchy. And that channel 16 piano background is great. Fine drums, also. It's a nice entry.

A very competent sounding song with excellent mixing. The background accompanyment does not in any way interfere with the melody lines which is comme ndable as it seems to be a difficult thing for many trackers to achieve and appr eciate. The arpeggios in the background really add to the song and help add comp lexity without causing a cluttered sound, although the strings do tend to sound a little washy in parts due to an extreme pan envelope. Some of the harmonies to the lead line do seem to have difficulty fitting at times which is perhaps the biggest problem with the song. Apart from that this piece has a lot of appeal and is well composed.

A very well balanced song with a nice melancholy melody. Samples were clear and fit together, but took more space than I'd expected from samples with that length and quality. The progression of the tune was smooth and logical. The overall mood of the song stays all through the song in the same level, where is variation? In some way this song sounded very professional, but on the other hand I got a little bored to it after a while. Originality factor was quite low and there just wasn't technically or artistically anything that would really raise the listener's interest, but anyway, a nice little tune.

very well done, except it's not that origional. The samples also were lacking. The actual song is really neatly done, but it's not very outstanding.

Somehow this song feels pretty banal to me. Maybe that's because the song is too repeative and boring. It really didn't keep me interested at all from the very beginning. It was the same thick playing through the whole song with the piano, the trumpet and the bass. The use of drums was good, and it kept the song little more alive, but the drumbeat just repeated the same thing over and over. There were some transitions on the song, but they didn't change anything much, just something very little. Your technique is ok, though it needs some improving too. But the song didn't fall for the technique, definitely not. I didn't like the samples much either, especially the trumpet and the bass weren't very nice, they had kind of depressing sound (eh?)... The piano wasn't nice either. Overally a song that's over average, but would need much improving to be good.

I liked the feeling of motion created in this song. The orchestration is good but I felt the piano solo was a little empty in places. The percussion work is a little droning and needs some more subtleties. The use of brass is good with nice mirroring between the piano and saxophone. However later in the song there are some dissonances between the brass instruments that were not sufficiently resolved. However the trumpet sample is nice - as are the samples generally - very clean. The song is set up in distinct sections but each is quite similar musically and needs some harmonic variation (while still being related to the main theme). The tracking technique is good although I thought the swinging panning in the strings section is unecessary in the context of the song - it is effective when those channels are played alone - but with the general orchestration, that panning work is lost. Nice ideas are shown generally in this tune.

Some nice loops, but some evil noise. I used the same piano samples in a number of songs, but i *tuned* them. Originality: this kind of music isn't tracked so often, and there's a reason for that. It doesn't work. Form: You tried, but your melodies aren't always in key. Safe drums and good mix, harmonic errors and boring arrangement. no surprises. The end is as bad as the start. Sorry for not going more in-depth.
