Very clean set of samples for this song. The idea is interesting, but not particularly attractive. The strength of this song is in the capacity of rendering the situation that title describes. Technique is good but needs an improvement, expecially in the use of effects.

Oh my. Circus music? (: Makes me want to get up and polka. (and i know how, too.) Beautiful song! Let's get to the meat of this song. You win an originality award for the year, methinks. (the whiplash put me into hysterics) I can't get over this. (: Each of the sections work out so well together. Great mix and matching. Good leads into each different section. If I weren't paying attention, I would have almost missed it. Not a WHOLE lot of technique is involved in tracking a song like this. Straight foward "put the notes down and smile in the process" kind of thing. At least no one instrument was out of place. (your snare drums kinda phased funny when played two at the same time. did you mean them to do that?) Some of the samples just are plain wrong for what's goin on here. Samplse, for the most part, should sorta match each other in the amount of 'muddiness' they have, and there is no semblanec of that going on over here. (i.e. banjo(?) and piano) A little more matching would make things so much more wonderful.

- Wheee! :] - reminds me of Catch that Goblin, but doesn't sound like it (reminds inthe sence that this is a FUN tune) - chorus was GREAT - Bouncy! - pat. 16 - 1D was a nice mood swing - Banjo :] was excellent - kept me on my toes, very complex, yet not overpowering - looses focus a bit in orders 20 - 2C, all of a sudden i was in a saloon - horn sample was pretty synthy on its own, a nicer horn sample would've been.. nicer - at the end, get rid of the fade, stop it dead, it would've sounded better - great tune guy (or gal) going into my collection for sure -

I've already commented on this tune once before, but here goes -- It's a really kewl tune - a real circus tune. Well almost :) More of a loonie movietune I think. There's a really catchy lead, which is perhaps repeated a bit too much. A little more variation could've been applied, although there actually is a lot of variations in this tune. It keeps on delivering breaks and new loonie ideas - first piano, then a wacked banjo, then some rather pleasant bells aso. What could've been better is the use of panning. Most of the panning, if not all, is done using only panning-envelopes. I think a much better sound could've been achived using panning-commands in the patterns. The samplepack is quite good and varied. The trumpets and the banjo-samples are not of the best quality, but when the band plays on, noone really notices. All in all - this is a potential top 10 tune IMO. Very original! I love that "whipping"-sfx - really a great idea :)

Possibly the most original tune I've heard throughout the contest. The basic idea behind the others has been attempted before, but this is something completely new, at least to my knowledge, in tracked music. There's even a bluegrass section! My god, this is almost TOO original. :) What's more, it sounds very close to a real-life piece. That's a rare thing. Loved the *whack* *aaargh!* bit. ;) Good ending, fits the song perfectly. I believe you have a shot at top 5 with this.

This song has potential, with one of the few effective crescendos I have heard in this contest (#22->). For the most part, this still sounds more intermediate 2nd rounder than a veteran. Most of your leads just sounded somehow clumsy and out of place. The mixing could be miles better, I hardly hear the bass. The banjo part was refreshing and was different enough without being too different to the rest of the song.

Songs like this disturb me in MC's. We had one like this--called "Elephant Stomp" last year. Incredibly original, with an excellent flow, great tracking technique, and nice samples. So you have to give it a score, despite the fact that you will delete the song from your drive as soon as the contest is over. [sigh] Very well, then. This song is -very- original, unique in it's genre, use of rhythmic technique, and sample set. Only one unoriginal part: the opening. You didn't have to use the cliche' circus line. Oh well. The form of this song is incredible... In fact, if you had tracked nothing but the music-box section, I still would have been moved. You use humor effectively in the song, and that's impressive, too. And you want to talk about technique? In the whole song, I can only find one major flaw: volume control on the leads was minimal if not non-existent. The high tempo, complex orchestration, and pretty much all else warrant a high score in technique. I loved all of the samples except the synth-horn lead (sample 5), and you use the other samples that aren't high-quality so effectively that no one would notice. HOWEVER: your "Overall" score is below average. I really didn't -like- this song (and have trouble believeing many people will), despite it's impressive use of the tracker, and I -will- delete it as soon as the contest is over.

This tune sounds really like in a circus!!! It was something completly outstanding in the competition. Itīs a very funny tune!!! The ideas are ok (tough i do not like the circus style so much) Some improvements can be done by changing the straight according of the voices. The main melody and the banjo part are the greatest in this modul, but they were based on the straight according voices. Perhaps the circus style needs it to sound like this, but it kills the whole creativity in this modul. Try it more freaky in the changes, for further tunes. ;-)

Not bad of a tune the samples were misused in some places but othere than that the song was good.
