Believe it or not, most of your sampled riffs can (and should) be tracked, not sampled. These guitar riffs eventually get boring. As it is, it fails to show the musicians tracking skill. In fact, the musician appears to have not yet mastered the tracker as he uses so few effects and uses the same definitions in most of his instruments. Despite his "disabilities" (just need more experience ;) , he still makes a successfully jazzy song. The way he rocks with the piano, it shows that this musician knows music :) It's freestyle and lightness makes the song relaxing and enjoyable. It's perhaps the highlight of the song (the one saving grace). The ending was a bit disappointing as it was abrupt. You should build up to the ending. Lead the listener more - unless you intentionally want to suprise him :) Also, use some stereo please! Stereo adds another dimension that really helps to increase interest. It's not suprising that you didn't use stereo.. as it is the nature of sampled riffs (so, don't use riffs!).

Cool, the intropart had that "something". Interesting form in this one, you play with two cool chord progressions, and you build interesting things atop both of them. Lead sample is not very clearly presented, it gets lost in the mix and doesn't therefore accomplish much of anything. Really good break into more jazzy sound with some touches of bepop and modern fusion. Good use of bass and guitars. Well, some negative points on your tracking too: I think that plate is too dominant in your beat, turn it down a bit please. In some parts the otherwise great drumtrack is close to falling to pieces. Nice "improvisation" on the chord basis. The mix is a bit too treblish, bassdrum doesn't cut through much. The other aspect of mixing was so natural and great I didn't even notice it - the stereo. Some chords sound as if you didn't know jazz theory. Do check that you have your 9ths in place and don't duplicate bass notes with chord voices. Ending was too abrupt and meaningless. Takes down your otherwise high form score.

A well made and quite nice sounding jazzyish tune. The second part was maybe a little too jazzy to my personal taste, but otherwise good in any case. Panning was used exceptionally little if compared to the other song with the same technical level. That is mostly a matter of personal taste, but maybe that can be listed as a minor fault/shortage. Sample quality was good and sampleset sounded original enough.

I cannot say this is a boring song :) because it's full of changes and variations. The instrumentation is excellent, the guitar samples are very clean, but the drums are overdriven and the hihats and ride cymbal is very noisy - these samples should be the clean and crisp. You should mix the piano a bit stronger, higher volume needed... now the piano slides and variations sound like a background element but I think that wasn't the idea. The drumplay was really nice, the wah-guitar seemed to be a bit out of tune at the order 1C and 1D. Anyway I liked this song.

jazzy and funky song. non-repetative and neat. samples are really nice too.. especially that funky guitar thingy

"Stayin' Alive, Stayin' Alive". Wah guitars. Wow, haven't heard those in a while. We're listening to the ending theme of a 70's cop show here right now. At least, that's what it sounds like. (: The only problem with that is the fact that I LOVE that kind of music. Of cousre, this has been done before in many different forms throughout the time of the tracking scene. For some reason, every couple years the tracker scene takes an avid craving for the 70's. I guess like any other generation, it's a necessary, but it's been done before. *grin* Lots of new elements added to this feel, however. Nice sections. The song flows well throughout, doesn't get abrasive when going from one section to another, and even the rhythm breaks fit in very well. Let's talk about noisiness. This song is busy, there's no question about it. However, it's almost too busy. Lots of stuff going on, especially near the end. It's usually a good idea to keep things as clean as possible so as not to detract from the rest of the song in question. The samples all seem relatively familiar. At least as far as the disco samples go. That lead instrument is fascinating, tho, and I would love to mess around with that a little more. Good stuff you have going in there.

Clean, good, obviously self-made guitar samples. The leads sound somehow like those in every tracked tune of that style. Good melodic piano runs, meaningless leads. The good samples take alot of tracking work away from the author, the technique shown is not impressive, but good. Good drums as well. Sorry for not going more in-depth.

Yeaahh great jazzy style!!! Strange beginning, but it changes very well!!! As i heard it the first time it only seemed over everage!!! After lisening to it a longer time I really recognized how much talent there is in this modul. :-) No more to say modulation, idea ... are perfect!!!! Tough the really freaky parts begin so late!!! Actually in my modul collection because of being so great!!! Thatīs all, no more things to be said about this tune. Outstanding tune :-)

I really like the way this song started out, but I lost the feel for it in the middle section. This is still a good track but I think you tried to include to many diverse sections. Technique wise it was great, but to truly be a great song, it has to have a piece of it stick in your mind. You had this quality with the opening piano in the first few patterns, but I found the way there were so many leads made me lose intrest. Try and simplify next time, have a section that is the focus of the song, make sure that section is really catchy/groovy and perhaps choose a better lead instrument. Still, this is a good effort with plenty of potential so keep at it.

Good technique. The transition to the more jazzy part isnīt that great though. Gets a bit boring after a while, could need some more variation. Quite high sample quality. A good song, but could get better.
