Your phatt analog bass riff and the digital drumloops fit like one in a million! They work so well together that I think you could make them even more dominant in your mix. I think less stringy pads would suit this tune better. Lead was the weakest element, both the sound and musical content. Some enveloped panning could help there. Mixing is good if not great, stereo used well but a better volume balance would make it rock more. The choir was a good idea. Drumkit beat is weaker than your loop, apart from the snare sample which is just great. Hihats are too loud. Some nice flanged clean mutes which work very well, but the analogue sweeps were worse and don't quite work in the tune. Overrall, this tune really stands out, even in the second round. Add some form and a stronger musical content and there you go.

Damn, this tune is smooth. It shows little sign of cheeziness, and is professional enough for a CD. Perhaps one might consider the drumloop a flaw, but the additional percussion shows that the artist can still do it. What else can I say about it? There's not much that can be done to improve the tune, really, except to make it longer.

I REALLY love this song. I think it was a little repeatitive though, but still it was cool. The song had a good and brief into (Perfect! You didn't wait to get to the main idea), the song had a good solid beat, the guitar leads and the clean guitar you had in the background were perfect. You didn't need to use too many instruments to make the song interesting. All I can say is that you might want to "expand" on what the Lead was doing, it was repeating too often, but overall this is definatly one of the best song I have ever heard in this competition. Fantastic Job!!!

Every time I listen to this song, one thing comes to my mind, and that is Genesis (that band). I don't know whether it is intentional, but the style and sampleset match very well to some Genesis-tunes. Hard to judge whether it is a good or bad thing, but anyway, I liked especially the beginning of this song and the quality remained at the same level rather well all through the tune. Sample quality was good enough, some tiny clicking with my soundcards, and althought some looped drums were used, those samples were short enough. In this tune there just wasn't generally anything that would have annoyed me. Good work!

Overally a nice piece. Clean samples, good job with mixing. The snares are a bit raw and strong. Maybe some more drum variations needed, but this cannot be easyly accomplished at tempo 6/88 :) That crying guitar is fine, as the muted guitar is. The synth chords in the background should be a bit quieter and stereo. Pan-sliding the vocals is not the best idea, but take it as a subjective opinion.

eh.. this song doesn't really go anywhere. It's kinda noisy too. I don't like it.

Judge: Brown, Yannis

It's nice to see a heavy ballad in the entries! The drum track was very well engineered, however the artistic quality was not as high as it should have been. The tracked kicks and snares were way too simple, and almost boring after about 8 bars. Only the groovy filtered drum loop saved the day. Panning was well implemented, and all but the rez sample 30 used in sequence 3,4,5,6, 8 and 9 fit nicely together. That sample should have just been left as a bass note. Overall the melody and individual parts were lacking heavily in inspiration. The effect create by the electric guitar lead was good in places was really on the nerves in the rest of the piece. It really was crying out for some sort of strong melody which was not delivered. Also besides a brief bridge in sequence 13 and 14 the tune was stagnated on a simple chord progression on a fixed bass note. It definitely cries for more variation. The song as a whole was a good for backing, but sounded great what was there.

Some samples sound selfmade. Solid sample choice. Your melodies have that ethereal feel to them in places (the guitar leads at least). The copped up drumloop you use makes it hard for you to show how good you are with drums. Nice professional sound. Sorry for not going more in-depth.

Very good song, it had a good mood to it. There were a few things that I thought hurt the piece however. These two things would be the drum loops and interest. The same two drum loops seem to be present throughout most of the song without much variation. This gets rather annoying when the same background exists through the entire song. This is a problem to me no matter how good the foreground is, and I thought that the foreground and melodies were very well done. This song definitely fits in the veteran category. The other thing that effected my scoring also lies in the drum loop. Due to this repeated rhythm throughout the song, I as a listener got bored, waiting to see what came next. Try to avoid such repitition if possible.

Good mix of rock and analog bass. Decent realistic feel to the percussion. The lead electric guitar seemed a bit squealy and thin - something a bit more meaty might have worked better here.

Judge: Basic, Predrag

Nice samples, good tune, pretty well done all round really. Original baseline was good throught. The ending was good as well. Technique was good, perhaps the snare was too loud and maybe the panning was over used. Side to side panning on strings can be annoying. Perhaps the snare in your main beat could have been a bit more complex with a few intermidant snares before the 4th beat (instead of the single snare). Other than that I can't really find a fault with it, good job.

Judge: Brink, Ola

Quite good atmosphere. Not very high sample quality. Could need more variation. The technique is bit above average.

Judge: Tumidajewicz, Przemek

Great guitar solo! I also liked the rhythm guitars and synths which sound exactly as they should. Only the perc, though very well-written gets monotonous when using the same pattern on and on. Anyway, the mood makes this tune one of the best in the contest.

Really nice sounding bass and percussion combo in the beginning, but as it seems to be with lots of songs, the corny strings/synthlead combo that comes in ruins the initial slickness.. fortunately these cutout for a bit early on and the song continues to groove with a nice repeating muted-guitar figure.. then those strings and lead again which REALLY don't add anything. Why put in something just because it's been the precedent that you should throw in a synth lead after a certain amount of time? Definitely a lack of creativity there.. the glass-shot kinda sample used for a main snare starts to really break through the mix and get annoying as the song goes on-- I think there should've been a different percussion sound used on beat 2 and 4 for later sections.. The bit starting a little after the middle is a nice harmonic change and other than the synth lead it's really really good there-- the bass and drums really are grooving with the guitar after that, and yet again the strings and synth mix over everything else so it sounds too muddy. Overall it could've used more variation but I enjoyed it.. certainly a talented musician.
