Nicely done. I love the synthetic atmosphere. It reminds me of the purple motion days when this kinda music was all around. Yet, this one's still original. You successfully take the listener from mysterious to eirie to rocking. You really know your music. The melody was simple yet kept interest with well developed variations. However, you're clearly new to Impulse Tracker. You're using many effects that could have been taken care of in the instrument defenition. Use the volume envelope instead of all those volume chop effects (D). Create more instruments instead of wasting time and space writing a million effects :) A musician should have complete control over the tracker. But, these technical problems were minor compared with the overall success of the song. Great opening.. great ending. The use of different beats through the song was a definite plus (helped keep interest for the simple melody). Good use of stereo. A fun song to listen to :)

This song bring me what I like more of chip tunes: a "happy feeling" through it. You also used some techniques usally reserved for that genre, but the song size is not what you expect from a chip tune... :-) It also have a catchy melody, but maybe that part on the middle is too long: it made me want to press the forward button to hear again that melody. The song could also have been benefit by a more powerful bassline (well, maybe just one I could hear.. ;-) ). The samples are simple but they do their job. This is one of best entries of this year... good work!

A merry tune, which got a little boring after listening it some time. The composer seemed in some way to have run out of good melodies, the 'theme' was fresh and nice, but the some other melodies didn't sound too good to my ear. Sample quality could have been a little better, there were some minor clicking/hissing. On the other hand, the samples fit together and to the mood of the song quite well.

this is a cool song. for some odd reason, the begining sounds like the song from ultima for the nes :P. but it's kinda neat since i don't hear people making songs like this. It's varied and not too repetative =).

WILL YOU GET THE #$&#$%" OUT OF MY HEAD??? this track HAUNTS ME! it chases me in sleep, at work, on the bus on my way home/to work, it doesn't leave my friggin alone! #$&%$& *ARGH!* IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS! HELP! NURSE! Yes, I absolutely friggin LOVE THIS TRACK! Blasted you be. The track hooked me from the first note. I can't let go of it... It is so beautifully formed, tracked (though a little bit heavy on NNA's, it maxes at 38 channels), it flows all over the place, it changes pace occasionally, it reminds me a lot of the lovely music found in old c64 games. It may not be entirely original, but I don't care. The samples are just perfect for the track, in fact the *only* thing I can complain about regarding the samples is that they are badly lacking more bass to make the track meatier (also so I don't have to turn on the loudness and pump up the bass to shake the place :) The tracker hardly touches the instrument envelopes, but it does a fine job of just using the effect samples, and heck, he's done a great job of just putting this marvellous piece together. I could probably go on for hours talking about how much I love this track but I won't. I won't even mention the tons of extra patterns outside the playlist which you can link together to make a simple megamix with even more variety and fun. All I can say is, you got me. I am a slave to this track. Beef up the bass and I can croak a happy person and enter 8th heaven. Better still, if this track could just leave me alone for ONE day, I'd be even happier =) Overall, this track is just pure brilliance and fun. Would it just leave me alone? =)

An interesting change from the usual run of the mill tunes! Do I detect some Jarre influence in here :). The chip arpeggio'd chords sounded out on some chords and interrupted the flow of the tune. There were some interesting but rather forced changes in style in this tune. Although it was a good experiment, something just didn't sit quite right, as though you left it for some time, then decided to come back and write more. Danger of this is you pick up other tricks and nuances in the mean time and they don't fit in with your style of when you last tracked. Forgive me if I'm wrong in assuming this. The other explaination could be a co-op. It sounds like a lot of effort was put into getting the litte details of this tune correct. Orchestrally you've mixed this well, and samples are well chosen, if not a little stale after being used the whole tune through. (The lead synth for example). A little more post processing such as a heavier Vibrato or, even some flanging may have helped in places, it sounds flat the whole way through. (Not flat as in pitch, but as in texture of the sound). One thing which I noticed was the tune was all very upper mid harmonics, without any bass to balance it. A little more attention to volumes would have also helped this tune, it was too constant the whole way through. Otherwise, a very good effort! :)

This tune is like a return to the old tracker style - a retro demo type of sound achieved with greater sophistication both technically and musically. The technique is well organised using clean, effective samples. The chord progressions are very nice, showing perhaps a classical influence? The tempo changes at orders 23,29 are very well done - a difficult thing to achieve well. The tunes are good and relate well in the context of the music. A nice song, varying from the usual attempt of commercial sound - and appropriately named!

Some noisy 8bit samples, some clean ones. Rips, but no obvious rips. The style is unique. If someone from Mozart's time would be tracking, this would be their style. Almost clasical in it's melodies/layers. Best use of arpeggios i've heard in a while. Manny effects used, and used well. Drums are not so cool and sound like a last-minute addition. A fine song, with a few weaknesses, especially in the drums. Sorry for not going more in-depth.
